When I was looking for a piano teacher later in life, to pick up where I left off after gaining an A Mus A at age 15, I chose Jody Heald because I admired: her musical sensitivity and artistry in performance, whether as soloist, or accompanist; her exceptional teaching skills and vast musical knowledge; her passion for her profession, demonstrated in her contributions to, and recognition by, state and national professional bodies; her willingness to learn and to encourage her students and colleagues to be lifelong learners; the sound musical foundations and musical understanding she draws from  her young students; her compassion and concern for her students, her colleagues and their families.

I was not disappointed. As an amateur pianist, and sometime accompanist, who chose a different day job, I leave my sessions with Jody stimulated, wiser, challenged and inspired to practise. I could not ask for more in a teacher.
